CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Carinya Christian School is now receiving applications for a new staff member to join our cleaning and maintenance team.
This position is to replace a retiring staff member and will commence on Monday the 4th of November 2019. It is a permanent opportunity to support the work of the cleaning and maintenance team, working a total of 36.75 hours per week. The position includes the following responsibilities:
Cleaning - 27.5 hours per week
Weeding / Garden Maintenance - 5 hours per week
Bin Collection - 2 hours Tuesday evening
Copy Paper Distribution - 2.25 hours per week
In accordance with the school’s purpose, applicants must be committed Christians of reformed evangelical persuasion and be supportive of the school’s Christ Centred educational philosophy. Applicants will be considered based on the following criteria:
Able to work constructively as part of a team
Willing and able to apply themselves to physical tasks associated with the position
Attention to detail so that facilities are maintained to a high standard
Flexible and able to modify work practices to suit changed requirements
Ability to take initiative, identify and solve problems and make recommendations to the Maintenance Manager
Ability to work to a schedule by applying themselves consistently and methodically at all times to ensure work is completed on time
As part of the cleaning and maintenance team this position will report to the Head Cleaner (for all cleaning matters) and the Maintenance Manager otherwise.
Carinya is a co-educational, Christian school with a student population of approximately 800 students between Prep and Year 12 in Tamworth.
