INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT) SERVICES MANAGER
Carinya Christian School is now receiving applications for a full time ICT Services Manager.
The ICT Services Manager will be responsible for a broad range of ICT infrastructure across a distributed education environment. The balance of prioritising day to day operational support with the management and development of the school’s ICT infrastructure will provide a consistent challenge. To be successful in an educational environment, the ICT Services Manager must be an all rounder who is as comfortable engaging with staff and students at their point of need as they are working with industry partners regarding network design and security. The ICT Services Manager will be based at the Tamworth School, but will also serve the Gunnedah school remotely and via site visits.
In accordance with the school’s purpose, applicants must be committed Christians of reformed evangelical persuasion and be supportive of the school’s Christ Centred educational philosophy. Applicants will be considered based on a range of criteria including:
Education, industry training and/or relevant experience in a relevant discipline
At least 3+ years relevant experience in maintaining and supporting a medium scale infrastructure environment
Demonstrated knowledge of networking hardware and software and server hardware and software
Demonstrated ability to undertake troubleshooting to identify, diagnose and resolve problems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Commitment to providing a high level of client service
Commitment to privacy and confidentiality
Integrity, empathy and assertiveness (pleasantly)
Ability to remain calm and courteous in complex and stressful situations
Ability to communicate and engage constructively and appropriately with staff and students
Professional experience in independent schooling is not essential, but is desirable

HOURS OF WORK
This is a full time permanent salary position. Weekly hours and annual leave are in keeping with similar positions in other institutions. The role will entail out of hours work from time to time.
This is a new position to replace a previous arrangement for the management of ICT services across the Schools. The position will commence as agreed with the preferred applicant.
Carinya is a co-educational, Christian school with a student population of approximately 800 students between Prep and Year 12 in Tamworth and 200 students between prep and Year 7 in Gunnedah.
This is a non teaching position, and employment will be governed by the “Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Service Manager Contract” (no fixed term).
