Every two years Carinya Tamworth stages a full musical which involves students in Years 3-12. Students participate and contribute as they are able, in the cast or the orchestra, in sound and lighting, set design and building, costumes, backstage management and makeup.

Carinya has staged The Pirates of Penzance, Annie, The Sound of Music, Oliver, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, My Fair LadyThe King And I, Beauty and the Beast, Annie Get Your Gun, Seussical the Musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Lion King Jr and Aladdin Jr.

CHOIR AND MUSICAL PARTICIPATION

Involvement in Carinya's Primary and Secondary Choirs at an Eisteddfod, as well as a "significant school performance" (such as Thanksgiving), is a prerequisite for auditioning for a school musical.
