Carinya Christian School is accepting applications for the position of Administration Support. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of over 200 Christian staff between the Tamworth and Gunnedah schools. Working under the direction of the Office Manager and in conjunction with other team members, the purpose of the Administration role is to support the daily operations of the Gunnedah School by performing a large variety of roles and functions.

Essential Qualities, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
To fulfil the responsibilities of this role, Administration Support Staff are expected to have:
A welcoming, friendly demeanour
A preference to work as a member of a team and in contact with people
Understanding and experience in operating computer based information systems
Able to touch type and work with software applications to create professionally presented documents
Excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation

Reporting to the Office Manager and Principal, the successful applicant will be required to fulfil the following responsibilities:
Reception
Greet visitors and provide a first response to their inquiry
Answering phone calls and directing those calls
Scheduling appointments on behalf of the Principal and others
Clerical DutiesResponding to inquiries and managing email, sms and other correspondence
Proofing and editing reports and documents
Filing and organising
Student AdministrationCompleting daily attendance requirements via the school administration system, including arrangements for students signing in and out of the school and confirming student attendance status with parents
Recording and managing student medical information
Providing First Aid to students, including the administration of medication in accordance with the student's medical care plan, and liaising with parents when medical care is required
Assisting with the production and distribution of student academic reports
General AdministrationPurchasing consumables and other supplies to support the operations of the school as directed and in accordance with the school's purchasing policy
Ensuring that the reception, sick-bay, printing and other administration related spaces are kept tidy and organised
As directed, assist in the preparation of letters, student reports, and newsletters to be sent to the school community
Assist with the operations of the uniform shop including the distribution of uniform orders on occasion
Support the organisation and operation of school functions
Other tasks to support the operation and administration of the school as directed by the Business Administrator or Principal.

Hours of Work
This is a permanent part-time position, from 8:00am to 4:30pm, up to 5 days per week, for school term weeks only (min 36 and max 40 weeks per year).Agreement / Contract
Employment will be governed by the Independent Schools NSW (Professional and Operational Staff) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025. Depending upon the applicant's prior experience, the position will be classified as Clerical and Administration Services Employees.Commencement
This position is scheduled to commence immediately.
